I do the same, it's a great tractor activity... :) That's where all my old stumps go to, too.....

Plus it will change the Deer routes to hopefully he won't see as many. lol

Been a busy 2017 so far!

Got a new toy:

Got stuck in the mud:

Tractor did a full faceplant...

Up to the brushguard:

You can even see the line of mud down the side. The front axle was submerged in muck...

This shows roughly how deep and the angle:

Got everything cleaned up and ready to play some more:

Nice work! Nice new toy. No sense in it being a garage queen.

:laughing::laughing: That there is why I don't backhoe without my FEL bucket on. You could of gotten out with the bucket on.:2cents:
At least you have the right tires onboard.
It looks like you were driving into the swamp hunting alligators with those teeth up front!
hugs, Brandi

Actually I was extracting hand cut stones that were thrown down there when a drunk killed a stone gate pillar in front of my house a couple hours into the new year (they can be seen scattered about in the left side of the "stuck" pic and added a pic below). I needed the grapple to reach out and pluck stones from the mud. It all worked out fine except the last/farthest one...

I thought with the backhoe on back, I'd have enough weight on the rear to pull the front out, or at least be able to drag it back up the hill with the hoe. As soon as the front tires went in, they sunk. I didn't expect there to be such an edge under the muck.

A bucket on the front wouldn't have helped. I cross-stacked some old fence posts across under the grapple to have a surface to push against to lift the front and push it back. The fenceposts gave me a lot more surface area to push against than the bucket would have. When I pushed, they went under. I quit pushing once they were a couple feet under the muck. When I raised up, loader packed with mud, I started to shake stuff off, but one of my new hoses was pushed into a pinch point and ended up severed (note on the front-view, there is only one hose coming from the 3rd function QDs to the grapple cylinder). Once it is costing time AND money, it's time to stop and get some assistance.

I went to the next door neighbors house to see if they could pull it out with their larger tractor, but nobody was home. I ended up driving about a mile across the hill to a guy who has a couple big wreckers. His first attempt at winching it out while I held the tractor in reverse, ended up dragging his wrecker which he said weighed over 16k. He agreed it was properly stuck. After digging his wheel lift on the back of the wrecker into my yard, and attaching a second winch cable, he plucked it right out.

Nothing in that swamp with nasty teeth except the tractor. Spring peepers and some turtles is the extent of it.
