I don't remember their name, but I did buy in kirbybille. I need to go see them and order some replacement parts. Need an air filter and a blade guide bearing. Really need to build a barn over it. that's on the list, but nowhere near the top lol

Ya that wasn't all that heavy, but for a little tractor it sure does a bundle of work.
I ripped out some stumps with it also, yes they're pine too, but it sure beats a shovel!

Threw together a little tool tray. I wanted to make it out of metal but didn't have any on hand. Blocks my view a little I'll have to tweak that.20190105_130413.jpg

Surprising a SxS could make the difference. Not sure how far the tractor could have slid down the hill from those shots, but I would have been afraid of the tractor taking the SxS over the hill with it...

Good job on the recovery!

Looks like more of a ditch beside the road than a hill. A ditch with snow will get you stuck pretty good. Glad it got out.

Not new, but new to me, 2003 era 5500. Got a couple of months ago. And then my most recent picture of her from this weekend...

She just got home from the dealership, complete brand new motor. Motor was running really loud, and blowing blue smoke, check engine light had come on. Turns out the #2 rod and bearing went out. Dealer said it was due to a miss routed oil return line from the oil cooler, it was pinched behind the power steering hydraulic lines and was only delivering a 1/4 of the oil flow that was required. So they replaced the entire motor with a new one that was built in October 2018 from the factory. Tractor had 600 hours on it, so I get to start the motor break-in process all over again.

I don't think the original motor ever ran right, from day 1 it smoked, was loud, and had a bad vibration in it. This new motor has a lot more power, no smoke and runs a lot quieter.

I've had this 5500 for a few years
It is very stable and a good chore size for around the property.
Here it is helping with some clean up duties.
