Thanks for replying guys..yes, yes, I know there are many box blade threads but I'm trying to stay current ..:D

As for my uses.. I'm preparing a riding arena in southeastern CT. This is some rock and root filled ground, no way is it ready for a rake (I have a 5 footer, too small for my tractor) I'm still removing trees, although most of the area is ready for rock removal..

All these pictures are the same area. The first is what we started with, the last is the final big tree dug up and pushed over. Plenty of rocks just under the surface, a few poking through. The camera doesn't show the barn side of the lot, that part is fairly open now.

I have a 60 inch Bush Hog and it has been great. I purchased it with the tractor.

I have a 60" United I purchased for $250 used in good condition. I have never had any problems with it. It does everything that I need to do. It seems to be well built.

i have a sunshine it is as solid as the big brands I think it is beteer than the land pride, and house types. it has 2 cutting blades forward and rearward. the rippers can adjust into 3 positions and out of the way, (pin in type) it is heavy they were running about $550 it may be a local arkansas brand though.

Armstron Ag, my 6ft of solid steel (740#). Got it when I bought my tractor through the Deere dealership. Not sure of pricing. It's rated for a 60HP tractor and mine is a bit less but haven't had any problems using it.

Got my Armstrong Ag Boxblade (Medium Duty) 2 yrs ago for $488 (from Kubota Dealer), 5' wide with 5 Scarifiers.

I'm sure they cost more now, but take a good look. They are Heavy Duty (Made in Texas). Check out their website and call them.

I am STILL on the hunt for a box blade. Looked at new 60"-66" frontier, land pride, and rhino. Land pride seems the weakling out of the new line-up looked at. If I had to buy new, that rhino box blade I looked at would have come home with me. The frontier was a good, heavy box but that shade of green commands more money. The rhino was even green, had better ripper shank depth control set-up and commanded less money. The time will come, Some day.....

I was at tractor supply a couple of weeks ago. their box blades caught my eye. They looked to be very heavily built and reasonably priced.

I "finally" found and purchased a 72" Bush Hog box blade........it's heavy duty and while I am a real rookie working with it I am impressed with what can be accomplished in a short time.....(even making a mess)

I didn't want to put a lot of money in a box blade but wanted a heavy duty used one vs. a lighter duty new one........I paid $375 for it and am glad I waited and shopped around.....

good luck..
