Lets talk camera's.

No I do not own this camera. I've used the XT-10 and the GFX 50s (which is an over $6000 piece but about the best I've ever used). When I had film cameras, I've always used Fuji film over Kodak unless it was black and white film as I found their b&w film a bit more subdued in grey tones leading to better poignancy in shots (imagine, a former logger talking about poignancy). Nikon color I like better than the yellow sheen of Canon stuff. I mean I can pick this up but if you ask somebody else, they'll say "what yellow"? so you may want to wait for Nikon mirror less.
This is the trouble with cameras. Whatever you buy is going to be outdated within 6-8 months. If you have a Hunt's Camera in Texas, go there and handle the X-T2. When I grab a camera, how it sits in my hand immediately is a big determining factor for me.
My pocket camera is a Lumix ZS100. A bit slow and aberated extended but with a 2.8 Leica lens, 25mm-40mm is superb.

When I first went overseas I bought my first decent camera with multiple lenses. I had to carry them all in a case, along with film, batteries, flash and even a spare camera. It was fine for what it was, but with what's available today, there is no way that I would ever buy a SLR camera again. I have no desire to be a pro, and my pictures are just for my personal enjoyment. I want good pics, that are easy to take, and a camera that is not too big to carry all day long.

After starting a thread on here several years ago, I went with the Canon Powershot. My current model is the SX50. It does everything very, very well!!!

I have a 32 GB card in is, so I will never have to replace it, or lose it. I carry a spare battery for those days when I take hundreds of pictures. My theory is to take as many pictures as possible of what I'm seeing, from every angle as possible, and figure that one of them will turn out great, then delete the rest. On one vacation, I took 7,000 pictures and kept a couple hundred.

That's the thing Eddie with being fanatical ( I cannot tell you what I've spent on stereo equipment) One is so freakin introspective that it destroys the initial event. For instance, I cannot listen to music anymore for the sake of the music. Instead I listen for all the aberrations as to what I'm listening to. In other words I'm listening to the equipment instead. I've done the same with cameras. You have taken some beautiful shots and that is all I'm going to say about it. What I have is more of a curse than anything else.

Colour representation can be deceptive unless you calibrate the monitor, if not the prints can be different to what you see on your computer.
I use a Spyder to calibrate my screen, fine tune my camera settings including colour temperature to match the day then find a good pro lab to produce my prints, I have done a lot of pro work in equestrian and most people are not that fussy but I am, our pro lab use Kodak Endura paper which I think is vastly superior to Fuji.
Take your prints to the local K Mart or whatever and you have no idea what you are going to get and if you complain some spotty little pimple will tell you in his or her 'expert' opinion what you are doing wrong, these are the same outfits that back in the film days just used replenisher until the developer didn't work any more, the pro labs use one shot.
I remeber the film days when some films were advertised as giving redder reds, greener greens etc etc, I don't want that, I want a true representation of what I have shot and my films of choice were Agfa 50S for transparancies, one of the Kodak Pro negative film but I don't recall the name and Ilford for mononchrome.
As for Fuji cameras, you realise that Fuji and Nikon are in bed together making each others bits.

I think you'll find Fugifilm sensors are made by Sony but X trans design is owned by Fugifilm. Nikons newest sensor is the same as in the new Leica and was designed in Southern California and made by a Israeli firm who just bought up Panasonic's foundry in Japan where the new sensors are made. Olympus is in bed with both Sony and Fugifilm for their image stabilization technology, look for image stabilization in Sony and Fugifilm soon, it's rumored Fugifilm has leaked the X-t2s is on its way very soon.

I wear glasses but set the eyepiece for use without (or get a diopter) and drop the glasses down my nose when shooting, becomes second nature after a while although a nuisance when SWMBO uses the camera and all I see then is a blur after she has reset the viewfinder.

Another very nice camera I've used is the Sony A-6000. I don't know what you shoot but if you do video, you'd like the A-6300 better. Otherwise the 6000 is a terrific camera for the price and iq is just as good as the 6300. Only thing I had a problem with is the hard eyecup on these cameras. Kind of a nuisance if you wear glasses.

Sony is making a big splash, if you shoot more video or video is very important to you a Sony may be your ticket. Only complaint I hear is that they role out new stuff so fast people are gun shy their model may not be supported or repairable into the future, and people report Sony customer service is non existent. Sony lens are very limited, and Robustness of them is in question too.

Yeah, big clunky DSLR's are being replaced with mirrorless cameras, for that reason, as people with phones are finding out phones are not much of a camera. I see it real quick with which pictures came out of my iPhone 7, and which ones came out of the Olympus Pen, when viewing on the iMac 5k.
