I have a buddy who is a Sony nut. He just purchased an A7RII. ($2800). I haven't used it but the shots he has taken are spectacular. 863 sq inches of sensor along with 42 ml's. Over a thousand bucks more than you're looking for but a superb piece none the less. I think this is the epitome of mirror less right now. Is it worth more than a Fuji for what it gives? Not for the standard once in awhile photographer. If you are making large prints (my buddy made an 18x24 dusk shot of a local sea shore.Absolutely no grain at all and I mean none and he sells these prints) That is one thing but for everyday or occasional use, don't know if it's worth it to you.
Sony has the dials and controls all wrong. Not a intuitive camera. Sony keeps changing so fast you feel like there would be no support and people report their customer service is non existent. They've been the standard in video forever, but there's just no film DNA in a Sony.

Agreed! I love the idea of Sony cameras because their specifications are so great, but I hate using them. I bought an a6000 because on paper it seemed like the perfect camera for me. It is such a pain though. I'll stick to Canon. A lot of people who have the Sonys seem to love them though.

Decided on the Fugifilm x100f in black for the travel camera upgrade. Was under the tree. Lol.

Best camera I've ever had is the Canon Powershot A720: small but VERY flexible. It has both real and computer zoom. Takes rechargeable penlite batteries.

Recently, we were looking to do our insurance backup shots again. I went looking/asking about a digital video camera. Then I discovered that the A720 will do this! All I had to buy was a bigger flash card to put in it.

I learned camera taking while in Vietnam. Still have my Konica SLR from that era. Had a non SLR Konica before that. The SLR probably still works. Might need some mirror and lens cleanup and certainly a little flat battery, maybe just the battery. It's main problem is it's heavy and only does film.

I will never part with my Canon lenses. A handful of 'L's and a few speciality along with my 40D DSLR but I rarely use them because my iPhone X takes incredible photos and it is always with me. Just hate dragging my gear off the property these days.

I think you’d be shocked what a 24mp picture 6000x4000 looks like on a 5k monitor.

I know I would. Is Canon going to come out with similar mirrorless and will the lenses be compatible? I need to read up on the technology. I am falling behind.
