The dealer that is $3500 higher might be blowing smoke. In sales, all lies are acceptable over the phone ( or over the 'net) to get the customer in the door.

They might not ship to you in CA. but if you walk in the door with a fist full of benjies you'll be leaving with a tractor. You don't have to worry about smogging or registering a tractor. Oregon doesn't have a sales tax, you could turn your tractor buying experience into a nice little vacation on the savings. I don't know if Oregon shares sales info with CA. now, they didn't when I lived in Northern CA. and bought big ticket items up there.

I would like to clarify the reason we say our list of dealers is proprietary. Today's environment is very competitive and the success of our dealers has attracted a lot of attention from competitors. We simply do not wish to make it easy for our competition to target all of our dealers. Therefore, we do not publish a complete list of our dealers.

We have always been willing to provide cusotmers with dealers located near them. In California, we only recently began to recruit new dealers there and WA and OR. The number of dealers on the west coast is increasing.

We have received a lot of comments regarding the MSRP of our models and will be updating the web site to provide this information.

Welcome to TBN!

It is GREAT to have a manufacturer (or are you a rep?) participating in this site. As you can see, Mahindra is developing a good reputation. It will be interesting to see how you will reinforce perceptions.

Yes, I am with Mahindra USA. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

I thought it would be good to check out the discussion group and see what customers and potential customers are saying. I believe we can get a better understanding of what is happening so we can do better in delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Great idea! I wonder if other manufacturer's do the same...

I can say unequivocally that this website was my biggest single resource for analyzing my needs and selecting a product. I have met a few people personally who were looking for tractors and recommended this site to them. I hope you check in often and contribute your "inside" knowledge freely.

I had recently purchased a new Mahindra 3505 series tractor. It was delivered, and had 2 hours on it when it just lost power, and ultimately died on me. One call to the dealer (Blue Ridge Equipment Co. - Franklin, NC) and they were there checking things, and trying to figure it out. They brought it back, to the dealer and ran it for around an hour but could not get it to stall out. I got it back next day, and by 5 hours on the meter it did the same thing. I had used thier rental 3505 befoire and that's what sold me..well I called Todd and Tommy and Al at Blue Ridge and they were not 20 minutes getting to my pasture with a rollback, and a replacement tractor outfitted with a bush-hog so I could finish my fields while they check the entire fuel system out. THAT is total commitment to the customer. I'm sure they'll get this minor problem ironed out. All machinery can have a slight wrinkle, but it is the dealer's attitude that sold me. A finer group of gentlemen and ladies I have not the the pleasure to deal with. They are to be commended. Several trips to a SC John Deere dealer and I was ignored on thier sales lot for so long that I ultimately just gave up and left... the New Holland dealer wanted to sell me way more than I could afford or needed..but kept calling me "Jack"..my name is not Jack. The Massey Furgeson guy was never there...several of his "new" tractors were rusted so bad that the name "Massey" was almost unreadable. Not so the Mahindra dealer..They know thier product and have a passion for it. They are problem solvers, and the Mahindra product is solid. I did my homework, and even though we have had a few "issues" I love that machine!
