Everything is new, installed by my dealer.
Every tractor we have (6) all will keep the levers on untill they get popped back to center when the cylinders are either extended or retracted all the way. But, i'll check with the service dept and find out. ThanksAK is just saying what I did, control's that "stay on" are usually not used except for operating motors. Most are spring centered. Could it be possible that the other controls are not working properly and this is one you think isn't really is? I guess you need to consult the dealer.

That is the way all the ag tractors I've run have been. Come to the end of the field, pull the lever into detent (implement raises to end of cylinder stroke), make your turn and push the lever into detent the other way (implement lowers and wheels raise to the end of the cylinder stroke) and off you go. Leaves your hands free for steering, throttle adjustment, etc while you are turning. My experience is related to about 1980 and older tractors with open center hydraulics. I would think that there would be an adjustable detent on the valve. Maybe it is backed off. I would call the dealer and ask about it.

Kim, you talking about your 3pt lever ?
This is weird. I have never seen/heard of valves like Farmer or Kim speak of except the newer log splitter type valves.
If ether of these folks could come up with a valve part # or something would be awesome.
