Were you in Ohio then? I remember the blizzard of 78 in cleveland. Our bowling alley roof fall in too.

I remember the blizzard of 78 in Pennsylvania. Have a newspaper clipping of the igloo we built from that snow storm.

Pretty cool old barn!! What's going on with the orange paint?

Red roof paint. Dad always wanted the bright red roof, but was unable to find a bright red roof paint, could only find a dull red. I helped paint the roof a few times. That metal is over 60 yrs old. He painted it just a few yrs ago.

As kids we could climb the fence at the corner of the barn, and get on the roof. We would jump off on the low edge.

The "chicken house" when in much better shape. Two of my brothers and a nephew. That nephew now has 4 children.

My first day of school.

The wood on the right, was the chopping block for chickens.

The metal ring on the post on the left, I'm pretty sure is still there.

The trees on the left are long gone, the sycamore tree behind me is still there.View attachment 575702

I remember our chopping block, and the headless chickens running around in the grass.

Met my wife to be in 1984. On her birthday, i took her on a hike to the old train tunnel. Carved our initials on this beech tree.

Visited it after we were married.

It's on neighbors property. New people bought the property, so haven't been down to it in years.
