lift arm broke - replace or repair ?

You can probably get a used arm from a tractor salvage yard. I use West kentucty Tractor Parts, but there are most likely some in your area that will have a arm. If you go to a yard take the old part with you.

If you are going to keep the Tractor I would get the new one. Then went the other one brakes put a new one on it .And you want have that problem any more.

update

Well,ordered the replacement arm from Hoyes on 06/09/06 according to one of two e mails i have recieved from them the lift arm was out of stock. I can understand delays caused by out of stock items but you think your e mails to them could be replied to in less than 3 days. Sorry if this soundsl like I am putting them down, its just that I would expect a little more since they actively parcipitate here on the forum. And for that I am truly grateful, Cause good advise is sometimes hard to find.

They were out of stock because 10 people ordered them because of this post before you did. Check your email spam filters. You have been sent a reply to every email (6) the day that you sent them to us. You arms were shipped last week.

For me, it has always been considerably more successful to transact business with a phone call. It provides me with the opportunity to 'weed out' any misinformation or confusion, plus my orders and shipping from Hoye (and others) have always included a confirmation email once sent.
