Lifting a 22' boat off trailer

You should be abe to slide it back off onto wood blocks under the keel.

Make sure that you have the balance right if you use straps...

I made a small mistake, It's a 20 foot boat and not a 22' boat, thats fine It will do the same thing (yard art) Now where to cut it and how to place it for a good effect.
And after I drained all the water out of It, this is real light you can tell by the light duty trailer that is for sale and the Mercruiser outdrive unit also.

And looking at boat again It looks like I may be using the whole boat or lot's of It

You could simulate a wake out of dirt or flowers. How about a skier (legs with ski coming out of fence)?

Your picture inspired me.

Use the tractor to put in a 6x6 or telephone pole. Cut a channel in the bow so the pole is sticking out 5' back. Make it look like the boat rammed the pole at full speed. Maybe 2/3 facing the road.

All good ideas, I like the overall lines of the boat and I don't want to destroy that but like the boat jumping at an angle is a good one and the pole in the boat is good also. I have a old light pole that I removed on account of rot at the bottom and I could make something like a simple Christmas tree stand and just sit it in the rear of the boat and maybe even put some cross arms to look even more realistic
I have lots of other projects to play with, this will go on back burner for now and I found out that I can get good $$ for the Mercruiser I/O unit It's an Alpha one and looks nice

It's a 22' bow rider with a 4 CYL. I/O engine with a Mercruiser lower unit and all I have to do is lift it off the trailer, any ideas?
I have some 2" straps and I don't think they will support hull properly and I considered the stern hooks and bow ring but I don't think they will lift the whole boat without damage. Any and all ideas will be appreciated and I have to do this January 17, 2008

No one has said you need to be carefull with the boat tipping over when you put it on the ground, it looks like a V type boat and needs side hull support or it will tip over as soon as you unload it.

If you put wings on it to make a flying boat out of it, it won't tip over.

Could also bury the hull deep enough to make it look like it was floating in the dirt and put a couple of mannequin skiers behind it.

Course all this is going to get people looking, and then they'll wreck in front of your place.
