I don't really want to hurt the hull but I plan on mounting it in the yard as a reminder to all boaters to Boat Safe kinda like what I did with this little car that has a sign on it that says Drive Slow we have lot's of speeders near our home and It does slow them down some. just something to do in my spare time that I don't have any of :D
I thought of lifting it with my forks but I think that will damage the hull and be very tippy, other idea is 2 straps around hull and lift, that will crush hull together at gunwales.
Keep the ideas coming

:)

As long as you're not going to use it as a real boat again, pull the engine/outdrive (FEL job) and other easily removable stuff from the interior. You may be able to horse it around with a few buddies then, or a combination of buddies and FEL.

Great car, what do you have in mind for the boat?

It is a shame you don't have one of those kiddie pools big enough to bury next to the fence and let part of it stick out, disappearing into the fence.

OK, that is just about the funniest thing I have read in a little while anyway!

I'm not taking any credit for these suggestions. They came out of a boat repair book.

The book says not to lift by the connectors for the winch and ski ropes because you can't trust them. Boats your size may have some hidden lift eyes somewhere around the centerline of the boat. (Guess the builder had to move it, too). Look under hatches or around on the floor for structural lift points.

Then it says to lift it up a few inches off the trailer just to see if you've got your lift setup right. If it holds well, then move the trailer from underneath the boat.

The book suggests using cradles to sit the boat on. The picture look like four wheel furniture dollys but with a V shape wooden carpeted top. This would work for a concrete shop floor, but that may not help you.

What did you cut that Chevette with?

I cut Chevette with a Black & Decker reciprocating saw with a metal blade, real easy :D
I used to work at a place where we would cut new cars and make convertibles back in 1986 when GM did not make any.
Don't try this at home

My wife is very understanding about my projects, but if I cut a car in half and prop it against something, I might end up living in the car.

When I first put the car out there to slow the speeders down I had 2 lights in the tail lite holes flashing like 4 ways :D set up on a timer, I got lot's of remarks about it and also it made the front page of our little paper saying I was doing my part on speeders
