thanx fur the warm welcom Doug. im wirkin on stayin above water levels. i.e. godda git the tractor goin n to high ground. i'll make a gasket n put the bottom plate back on n fill up the tractor tamarow n see if i dont git lift it. i godda git it to higher ground. i alred have 1 bridge to build til i can dig furra new culvert. then another culverts goin out. wen it rains here at my house, my road washes out. id a been on it if the tractor hadnt a been stolen. tally aint got much fur rain. were gittin the speratic downpoors tho.

Welcome. What's the setup on your 1700? 2wd, 4wd? Does it have a loader or not? Is it running ok or not at all? The 1700, 1710, etc series of tractors are really pretty straightforward to work on. Almost as easy as motorcycles. Definitely simpler than many muscle cars. You'll be able to sort it out.

thanks fur asking. ur timing is perfect.i did get the tractor up n runnin again. n it's runnin perty sweet too. sept now i godda nuther problem with it. do u no anything bout the hydraulic system in my type tractor?
