Liquid ballast in tractor tires.

For some reason known to the Kubota engineers but not to me, there is a warning in the Kubota Operator's Manual for the L series including the L3010, L3410, L3710, L4310, and L4610 where it says:

IMPORTANT

* Do not fill tires with water or solution more than 75% of full capacity (I understand this part, read on)

* Do not fill tires with water or solution if the tractor is a CAB model. (<----- that is the one!!!)

Anyone know the problem? Anyone care to speculate? Why should they prohibit liquid ballast for the model with a cab???

It would appear that they're trying to limit the total weight to protect the tires. I certainly don't think they're worried about the additional weight on the rims or axles.

WAG, SWAG, OUIJA board, or bird droppings interpreted by the oracle of Delphi... The most interesting guess so far is the strength of the cab in a rollover. I'll find out eventually what the Kubota engineers had in mind and report back so we can all have a laugh or become better informed and safer citizens.
