I must say, I agree. It's the only anoying thing to me about the new software, that extra step every single time I read a forum.

I agree with Cliff, although I use the forums at a pretty basic level. Can anyone point me to the location of the "Mark Thread" and "Tools Dropdown"? I can't find either one.

What about marking posters that are tractor dealers with a special symbol? I would think that most TBN members would appreciate that info. I have not spotted any blatant self promotion in the 6 months since I joined. If anything, the dealers go out of their way to help everyone.

Is there a way to report abusive posters?

Yesterday there was a post for a **** site. Thankfully it disapeared real quick, but today I got an email accusing tow memebers of being gay.

I understand that there are those that lack the mental skills to openly debate an issue or even suport their own point of view and rely on name calling, so the email is no biggy. I just delete it.

But I was wondering if there was a way to inform one of the moderators, from the email page or on the forum, that there is something they should be made aware of???

I also wonder if there is a way to trace these people when they register and ban them from there computer? Cookies or some other signature?

The little red triangle below your avatar is for notifying the administrators. I wish that we still had the links at the bottom of the page to the moderators like the other forum had. That way you could PM the one that was on line at the time when something needed attention right away.

Mods and admins can track this person and delete or block this person if they know about them.

Whenever someone pushes that button, ALL of the moderators are notified.

And we do appreciate it that many members report questionable materials. With so many members and posts, it is impossible to read all the posts every day. For instance, I usually just hang around the Power Trac forum. I get notified of posts that may need attention in other forums, and I go check them. Then something else in the forum catches my eye and I start reading and before I know it a 30 second moderator job turns into a two day conversation about leveling ground for a swimming pool!
