When I was about 5or 6 we were out for a ride, with a friend of my father's in the fron passenger seat. I watched as he threw a cigarette out the window, then looking back a few seconds later I said "boy there's a lot of smoke in the ditch back there. He said " I just threw a cigarette out."
I can't imagine a grass fire starting that quickly, buf have always wondered.

I was going into my vet's office this AM when an employee came out with a pooper scooper and rake... there were piles from two different dogs right in the parking spot nearest the entrance. She said "You'd think they would stick their head in the door and tell us so that we could clean it up.
I agreed but was thinking " you would think they would clean up their own mess."


In case you can't tell after three posts on the subject, I believe that people should clean up their own "shtuff."

People are generally selfish and they are pigs. Look at the air quality in some parts of the world and at the state of the Oceans. As far as I am concerned, the planet has been destroyed for some time to come and we will pay the price.

Having said that, I live down the road from a Golf Course. Ever since it opened I have a constant source of discarded beer cans in front of our place. And as much as it disgusts me, I understand it has something to do with not getting stopped with a bunch of empty beer cans in your vehicle, and I realize that at the end of the day, it takes less energy for me just to pick them up then be pissed off about them.

Just a thought...maybe you could convince the management to provide a trash receptacle at the exit/entrance? I have seen this elsewhere, and it works if the receptacle is actually designed and placed where it can be used. The local Sonic does this, but it's almost inaccessible from my truck, so I just take the trash home.

I think the issue is that they like to have a wobbly pop while on the road which should't be illegal in itself. Hurting or killing someone while impaired should be.

My annoyance is people dumping something like noodles in the company sink and leaving it there. 30 mins later the sink is half full of nasty water because no one will deal with it. Similar with the microwave, their soup explodes but they just leave the liquid in the micro. Spill their coffee, they just leave it on the floor. Drives me nuts. Don't get me started on the bathroom..... :banghead:

Saw the "contractors trash can" in action today. That's where they throw the trash in their pickup bed, and let it blow out as they drive down the road.

The kicker is some of these people dress neat as can be. I wonder if some just want others to wait on them or think they are above cleaning up after themselves.
