Now Sassafraspete, I was only telling him what my friend told me when I was looking to buy. He could have sold me a Branson, but we've been friends for a long time and he didn't want me to come back at him if I had some of the same problems he says others have had with the Branson. Not only that, another friend did buy a Branson and kept it a year then bought a Mahindra and was much more satisfied. I only lunge at Deere because they are overpriced, not that they aren't a good product. John

KiotiJohn,

It seems like your a salesman for Kioti, I have been reading your posts and you seem to think Kioti is the only good brand out there /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I'm sure people have had problems with Kioti's just like JD,NH or any other brand /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Besides how the dealer ship treats you it worth some extra $$ at times.

And just for the record I'm not bashing Kioti, I think all the tractors (-grey market) out there are decent tractors and will do a great job if chosen for the right reasons.

This statement didn't make sense to me /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif if they are over priced, when I was looking the Deere was cheaper than the Kubota or NH for comparable tractors /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Richard who made the original post, I'm sure is a pretty sophisticated buyer, and will see thru John's comments pretty quickly as the rest of us do. No more needs to be said about that. I too agree with raynman, that the dealer you go with will make your experience a good one or bad one. When I bought my tractor, I could go out of state and maybe get a better deal....but if the quality is as bad as kiotijohn makes it out to be, that dealer better be located next door to me or I better be a good tractor mechanic. It's pretty hard to deal with someone on warranty if they are 2-300 miles away. Are they going to send someone over to fix it, or do you have the equipment/time to haul it back over to their place? Not too easy to move a 3000 lb tractor around. These are the things I would be thinking about.

Since I have been on this site I have seen large differances in prices on all the makes and models . Depending on the area you live in.

I am a new Kioti OWNER, not a salesman. Also, I researched grey markets and other tractors for one year before deciding to buy Kioti, so I found out some things about them. The grey market groups in Yahoo are filled with requests for parts and I've seen the prices. Obviously, this group was intended to help to inform others. I have only given the knowledge I Learned without attacking anyone else's posts unlike Raynman and Sassafraspete. If that is not the nature of this group, I am mistaken and should go where people want to hear what your experiences are. If I sound like a Kioti salesman, it's because I'm very satisfied with the choice I made after a long hard search. My posts don't usually say anything about which brands I think out there are good, I talk mostly about MY brand. If you have indeed read my posts, you would know that. thank, John

KiotiJohn,

I have read your posts, and was not attacking you or anyone else, just pointing out what I read. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I don't think anyone wants you to leave our post, but we sure should be able to comment on your posts /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif just like you are doing to ours /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif and I didn't take it as an attack /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Am I getting sensory overload or should I check out the DK35 . Is it much more than the 3054? Does anyone have suggestions of additional dealers to contact. I don't mind paying shipping if the savings will justify. It usually is a wash with paying state taxes. In California everything is more expensive. I have many dealers within 30 miles and will check them as well.

The DK 35 , with its more standard features, and depending on dealer and area, can be several thousand more than the 3054.
I went through the same thing when tractor shopping.
All you can do is test drive several differant makes and models, compare prices/quality/features/ dealer.
It's not easy, but it pays in the long run.
Good luck
