LK3054XS Best for Me?

lablovers,

I agree with Vince, you need to take them for a test drive or at least sit on them to find one that fits you.

When I was looking I looked at about 6 different brands, sat on 4, drove 2. Two of the one I sat on didn't feel right to me, not that they were bad just felt different. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

If you go to Kioti's website they have a dealer finder, don't know if it will get you out of state dealers or not. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Thanks for your vote of confidence in my ability to pick the right tractor. Right now I am having to much fun with all of this. I am sure that my wife thinks I am a little absessed. I like to think that I am doing my research. Keep the feedback coming.

You guys crack me up. It appears that I have invented a new use for the term "absessed". That is ok, it is said that any publicity is good publicity. I can blame it on the labs doing my typing for me. They probably can't do any worse.

I need some more help. Today I looked at the LK3054XS and the DK35. I like them both but can see how the 3054 is dated. It looks like a good basic unit that will probably do everything I will every need. Here comes the "BUT". I made the mistake of testing the DK35. "WOW" /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif That was some great tractor. Can I justfiy going with this unit. It seemed a lot bigger and I question if it is necessary other than to satisfy my bigger is better mentality. The tractor weighs in at about 1,300 pounds more and another 5 hp. But it feel much larger. The loader and backhoe are larger as well meaning it will be faster. I know it will do a great job digging a daylight basement and foundation but question if it is to much after the real work is done, will it be overkill.
Thanks for your input. I have rough pricing and the TLB on both is a difference of under $1,500. Now I have not gotten down to the nitty gritty on pricing yet and that could change. But based on information from another, that might be about right.
KiotiJohn, I saw your CK20 today. You are right that is a nice unit. I see why you like it.
Thanks,
Richard aka Lablovers

And just wait until you see the bigger, and better (we hope) CK25 and CK30. If you can hold out until around June, you may like one of these more. But that DK35 is just plain right. It's a great tractor, and no, it wouldn't be overkill. Later down the road, would probably bring more money and more easily sell than the 3054 because it has so many more features and synchro shuttle. Good luck and let us know. John

With under $1500 price differance between the two I would have a hard time not going with the DK's 5 more HP, sycro shuttle, sycronized transmission ,Mid PTO, Foldable ROPS,tilt steering, independant PTO, rear work light, extendable lower link arms. All standard features.
Can you use the extra size when the larger work is done ?
How much of your 5.5 ares can you mow? If you can mow most of your property than DK may not be overly large. Mid mount mowers are availible for the DK 35, and can be added at a later date.
