You have to ask yourself if your tractor is worth spending that kind of money on. I am not sure what your tractor is, but 4300 will buy alot of tractor with a loader on it already.

You are right about that for sure... I am trying to stay in the 11 grand range plus or minus a few hundred..(never let $50 get in the way of a decent deal), but i "need" a utility -not a compact- in the 40-60 hp range with a FEL...practically impossible...trying to stay with a later model tractor instead of buying a 25 year old tractor for 1500 less than what I maybe can buy a late model one...anyway thats the soap box...i found a little 5105 (2wd - 1100hrs) for 8500, which I will not pay yet is a good deal for someone ONLY wanting a 2wd W/O a loader...which most people are not...at 9 grand plus 4 grand you are right at 13 grrr where you can buy tractors all day long..so I am going to work on both the tractor fellow and the loader prices the best I can and see where I end up...tractor has more room to move -yet he may not..if not...Keep on looking.......probably give up in june when i can't see the fence and buy something that has been painted over for 8000

I appreciate the info...I've been around tractors all my life (yet they almost always had the "tractor" loader)...used a few great bend loader (now bushhog) and they worked very good...true concern is that tractor i am looking at is a bare bones base tractor with no hydraulics and a FEL would have to be completely plumbed?...dealership would charge an arm an a leg...I have a quote on a 185 Koyker (installed and ready to go) for about $4300 and that is buying all sorts of fun parts...I still haven't got a quote back on a bushhog yet...so I guess the question really is...
What about them dere Koyker's?!? ....have no working experience with them...
thanks
I have owned 2 prior K5 Koyker loaders. Older style/design with the K5 but they where used on a lot of tractors. No complaints. Koyker is probably one of the more inexpensive aftermarket loaders. I have also had JD, kubota and westendorf loaders, also with no issues. I wouldn't hesitate getting the koyker.
