The other day my control valve started to leak. It turned out to be leaking from an allen screw. I tightened it up and it stopped leaking, but now I am wondering if by tightening the allen screw if it made any type of "adjustment" to the loader hydraulics.

I suspect that is just a plug used to close off a drill path in your valve. If you are concerned carefully remove it to see if there is any springs, etc. under it. From its position it could possibly be a gauge port.

I believe the allen screw should be tight.

I can't think of a situation where an allen head screw is used to adjust something. They are usually tight.

If an allen screw was used, it would need something to lock it in place, maybe thread lock or another screw on top of the allen screw.

A good manual is always useful.

Sorry for the late response, have used the tractor quite a bit lately moving the spoils of my pond dig. I did not pull the allen screw out again. The loader appears to work as before so all it fine. Thanks for the replies.
