Loader joystick?

Hey guys I recently noticed that when I ease my FEL down with the joystick it isn't smooth like it used to be, it's smooth in any other direction except down, any ideas what would cause this?

Maybe check your linkage. That's where I'd start.

Check your QD's if you have them.

Raise the lift arms to max and put it into float and see what happens.

My B2620 started handling about the same way. It finally froze the dump and curl portion of the joystick (see thread further down). My machine is at the dealers getting a new valve. The valve on the 2620 is bolted directly to the hst so right rear tire, fender and assorted stuff has to be removed for replacing valve. Dealer said they have had detent problems and they would just replace valve assembly. Hopefully yours is merely a linkage problem that can be adjusted.

Maybe check your linkage. That's where I'd start.

How much usage has the loader had?

Is it because the joy stick is binding or from the metering of the valve changing?
