Loaders for the DK45SE HST

Ok, thanks. I'll mentioned it to my dealer to see if he can make any contact with Kioti just to see if they will even "address" it. They are just up the street.

I measured the tractor QA yesterday. The KL401 QA is 40 inches wide. My grapple (Millonzi) is 44 inches. A "standard" QA adapter plate I bought on eBay is 45". There is clearly some variation in "skidsteer QA" attachment plate sizes but I've never seen anything as small as the Kioti's 40 inches.

There is a full 4 inch gap at the moment on my grapple as it has managed to get itself pushed all the way over to the left side. It works fine but is lopsided. You can see the gap on the right side (driver's perspective) in the photos.

Good pictures. Thanks, I will sow these to my dealer.

Not sure why Kioti went to 40" wide on the newer single lever QA.
I have the older 2 lever Kioti QA on my KL1450 loader and it is 44" wide.

I assume the 2 lever is retro fitable to the KL401 either?

Not sure if it would fit or not. The KL401 is a Korean made loader.
The QA like I have was used on the US made KMW loaders.

Island, Mark - please do push your dealers to take this up with Kioti. Sounds like lack of attention to detail and if it gets to their attention maybe they will address it in future units at least.

I say this for the most selfish of reasons. I love Kubotas but my local Kioti dealer is so incredibly good that when time I talk to him I want to buy a Kioti :). I might look at going to another tractor next year instead of adding a backhoe and a QA adapter and remotes etc. to mine and I think that I will force myself to look at the DK40 and DK45 given the quality of the dealer.

My dealer is aware of the issue (he pointed it out before purchase) and I will remind him to moan and groan to Kioti.

There is a fairly simple solution that any full service dealer could implement for a couple hundred bucks. First woudl be to simple weld a couple of 2 inch spacers to the outboard side of the KL401 attachment points, that would give you 44 inch width. The next thing you'd need to do is to weld on a standard QA adapter plate to the Kioti bucket so your new "standard" width KL401 would fit the Kioti bucket. After doing that everything would be hunky dory.

Something like this should work nicely. I imagine the Kioti plate would have to be romoved with a plasma torch or such from the bucket first.

Worthwhile information for someone like myself who might find himself considering a DK40/45. While I agree it should be fixed by them - no reason you can't work this into the deal. I imagine most dealers would be happy to suck up the labour cost of this. It sounds simple - but then I don't weld.
