This is pretty much the exact reply I sent to my dealer in response too. It works but it ain't right.

I had this issue with my dealer too, as I wanted to buy the KL1470, but couldn't for the 45se. I really wanted a wider bucket for mulch and dirt. At least I had benefited from asking about QA on this site, and Island Tractor had told me about this before my purchase.

Kioti is quite clear here KIOTI - run ahead of the pack!
about their QA plate working for only these model FELs. but not having measured them I don't know, but it seems like others here say its ok.

It does suck, but at least one person on this site gave me a contact for a guy who will make you pallet forks to fit the kioti. Looks like the guy who comes up with a mass producable fix will make some loot.

I simply don't get it. Why did they just use the same set up for the new loaders. I swear it must be something I am missing?????

It's important to distinguish between QA and universal/skid steer QA. JD and Kubota also make QA systems that are not "universal/skid steer". Nothing wrong with that. The pain with Kioti's KL401 is that they imply this is a universal style, not proprietary. Indeed it does meet the "letter of the the law" in that it attaches to real universal skid steer implements but the slop on the sides and the narrow non universal bucket fitting are just hard to understand. It would make more sense for Kioti to just change to universal 44 inch adapters than to sit back and claim there is no issue. You'd have thunk they would have learned a lesson or two about standardization from the KL120/130 loader fiasco.

Island - not sure I quite understand. I was under the impression that Kubota's QA was universal skid steer QA. Are you sure this isn't the case?

I am not sure about the whole Kubota line but I recall the quick attach system for the B3030 is not universal. I know that the JD is not universal.

I was at my Kubota dealer yesterday. He said the Kubota had some issues with their QA being more proprietary than universal, they realized their mistake/limitations and were now making their QA's of the universal design. Not sure when that change occurred, or if it is still ongoing.
Hmm-- JD dealer told me all their QA's were universal. Maybe this is one more reason not to be trusting him.

I bought a 4n1 bucket that was set up for a JD4600 QA. It was a hook type so was not even close to skidsteer compatable. I had to have the JD mount cut off and a standard QA adapter welding on.
