Has anyone ever loaded their own tires? What did you put in them Calcium, antifreeze, etc?????. Where did you get a pump to fill them or did you make one?

Low temp WW fluid. The item to use comes from NAPA and screws on the valve stem. It let's you burp the air. About 7 bucks. There was a great thread on this a while back.

Thanks for the info. I'll be heading there today. I guess it will take many many gallons to fill the tires up.

I have a real problem with using windshield washer fluid. That stuff costs nearly a buck a gallon!

Why not fill with plain water and add a gallon of alcohol per tire?

I don't know that I would do that. Some oils have additives that destroys certain rubbers.

Oil is lighter than water.

Not to mention the environmental issue if there's a leak. Yeah, the ww fluid is a buck a G., but the difference is cost isn't that way off. I had an incident with a chloride tire once. Don't want to go through that again. Anti-freeze is not very environmental either. Including the low-tox stuff. I preferred something that would give a fair amount of weight and be as 'friendly' as possible should a leak occur. I've heard a lot about the foam filled tires. I was thinking of doing an experiment with the low expanding canned foam on a junk tier to see how that works. I'm stressin' already from the frequent flats. Always finding the hidden barbed wire in the 'lawn'......
