Local dealer dropped/dropping Mahindra

Well, I doubt Mahindra is going to reveal that information, and the dealer certainly wouldn't fault themselves other than to say they will no longer be doing warranty work for Mahindra (or selling them).

I haven't had any real issues with the dealer, other than they appear to be sorely understaffed during prime tractor season.

Check to see if your dear is part of a larger net work. My local Mahindra dealer (Fairchild Equipment) is just a small dealer but they have a large service department at their regional dealership. That is where I would want my tractor to go for repairs anyway. Have spoken to them and they offered to transport to and from for free, round trip for them would be over 150 miles.
One reson I purchased a Mahindra and from this dealer, is because, the first tractor I was looking to purchase from them (new 2014 eMax 22 hst) was weathered from sitting out. So I was going to walk away from purchase, but the regional sales manager at Fairchild Equipment contacted me and offered to replace the tractor with a, 2016 eMax 22HST Steel, they had just received at the same price as the 2014. Mahindra and Fairchild Equipment has gone above and beyond to help me in everyway possible.
Again Mahindra stands behind it tractors (7year warrenty)

I've been in contact with Mahindra, they are "researching" if there are other dealers coming to my area.

Right now it's due a hydro change, I have the filter but am trying to find a cheaper alternative to the Ambra @ $23 a gallon, since I need 4 gallons of the stuff.

Other than the random no start which seems to be fuse related, the only issue I have with the unit is the PTO selector sometimes will NOT move. All I use right now is the MID, but I try to move everything so nothing seizes up on me. Some bumping of the PTO engagement will *usually* let me move it eventually. Otherwise I just have to wait and keep randomly trying it. When it does finally move, it give no issue, just getting it to move in the first place.

For the engine I use Rotella T-6 synthetic. Usually buy it online with free shipping, cheaper than most local stores. $22.00 a gallon when you buy 3 at a time or Non synthetic is about $14-15. a gallon.
For hydro I buy 5 gallon pails of Travelers Premium Universal hydraulic fluid at TSC. (about $33.00)
I've used it in my tractors for the past 20 years with no problems.

My 1952 8n was my grandfathers and my dads. Never been back to dealers. May your tractor be the same.

If only tractors nowadays were as simple as the old 8n, unfortunately with everything else now, Tractors included, are much more complicated making them less reliable

basically, I'd like an n style tractor with 4wd. I think an 861 with that 4wd aftermarket might be my dream tractor!

It may be easy to find out why they are no longer a dealer. Did they have another brand and if so maybe could not sell enough to satisfy both. I have been told by two local dealers (neither Mahindra) they could not afford what it cost to open a Mahindra dealership.
