Local dealer dropped/dropping Mahindra

It may be easy to find out why they are no longer a dealer. Did they have another brand and if so maybe could not sell enough to satisfy both. I have been told by two local dealers (neither Mahindra) they could not afford what it cost to open a Mahindra dealership.

Interesting enough, I went in yesterday to order filters and such. Parts guy said Mahindra dropped them because they are in actuality a New Holland dealer and Mahindra wanted them to carry more MA than NH stock. Well, we're a NH dealer, our sign says NH, not Mahindra.

When I bought mine, they had maybe I dunno, 4 MA tractors and probably 20 NH's on the lot. The MA's are cheaper, and people like me who aren't buying them to use in a commercial environment (ie getting paid to use it) are attracted to that.

In the end, it means they will no longer carry any MA stock (including parts, everything has to be ordered), any warranty work has to go to the nearest dealer, 60 miles away.
Sometime in the future, I may just order up a bunch of R&R items like filters, blades and things and have them on hand.

There may be many parts and filters etc. that interchange from other tractors. My 2002 Mahindra 4110 needed power take off gears. . The Mahindra dealer ordered them. Parts came branded TYM. I get oil filters from NAPA.

I had a "back yard mechanic" replace the gears. Of course if under warranty gotta get to dealer. Warranty makes good business sense.

I'm pretty much convinced that the emax is just a rebranded TYM, when I asked on MA's facebook page about why the TYM looked like a copy and were they aware, they deleted my post.
The TYM has the same diagrams, same part numbers, etc.
