We have someone from Warm Springs wanting to find some springs and someone from Berkley Springs advising him. Cool.
Reasoning on what /pine has said, your pond is bound to be below the springs that once fed it. I wonder if they re-emerged in the pond.
Warm Springs? Oxymoron. The only "warm" springs around here are feeding FDR's swimming pool, which BTW, is still open and active. Everyone else has ice COLD water.
But I think your are right about some of the spring water feeding the pond; just not a large amount. The pond has never gone dry in over 60 years, but it is now lower than it has ever been in the past.
This area is in the foothills of the Pine Mountain range, elevation of about 1000 feet. Surrounding our place are steep hills and valleys, and solid thick forest land, which is impossible for a tractor to go through.
