Lokking at a Ford 2000

I have located an early 1970s Ford 2000 that is in good shape. The tires are in very good condition and tractor comes with a bush hog. Tractor does not have power steering or live pto but does have an overrun clutch that comes with it. The owner wants $3000.00 for tractor and mower. Is this a good price? I'm just wanting something to mow and garden with.

Yeah if it's a diesel and runs good then go for it. Well worth the money.

About 8 years ago I ran up on a deal like yours, with tractor and bush hog for $3500. It is a 1967 Ford 2000 diesel. Fluidmatic transmission.
I asked the folks here what they tbought; one person said "if its a diesel, EVEN IF IT DOESN'T RUN it is a good deal."
I went with that. Not a whisper of trouble once I did the maintenance.
