In a couple years maybe I will find something bigger to break. I want to find an 8770 or 8870 to take over the tillage work as well as help with haying.

I am hoping to borrow the 8210 that is on my dealers lot if I take this to them to fix.

In the past month I have:

Replaced water pump on our lumina
Replaced power steering pump on our lumina
Replaced all 4 tires on our lumina
Replaced front wheel bearing on our blazer

and last night I go out to the garage to put some bottles in the blazer for the wife to take in to recycle today and I notice a small pool of coolant under the blazer. Now I'm off to find one of those keg tap jobbers to test the coolant system under pressure to find the leak.

I guess better now than in 2 weeks when our 2nd baby arrives.

The shop is going to start working on the tractor tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be bad. I was talking to the head mechanic and asked him if they do have to pull her apart to look the rest of the motor over for any wear. Hopefully, if there is something else wearing then I will get it caught now before I have to pay them to tear it apart again.

On the bright side I got to play with the 8210. I don't really need it anymore but they told me to keep it anyway so I won't argue with them. It just sits in the side yard now where the 7710 would sit.

The 8210 is a great tractor. I would love to buy it but it is real low on my list of wants right now. It has a lot of power and is very smooth to drive. I just don't like the electronic 3pt controls. There is a short somewhere in there and the arms will raise and lower depending on the bump.

I want to add that this field is an over grown hay field that I am cutting just to cut it down. I will spray the field and turn it under in about a month to prep for the spring.

Do you own the Gehl mower? If so is there a dealer there to get parts? Down here Gehl used to be a big name but now I dont know of anyone who wants anything to do w/ them. What are you going to replant the field w/?

Gehl doesn't make ag equipment anymore but they did make good equipment. My NH dealer sold Gehl also and still supports them. I have not needed anything for this cutter though other then blades.

The field will be put back into an orchard grass/timothy mix.

8210 is nice.. but i also don't like fly-by-wire controlls.. like electronic 3pt.. etc..

Good luck on your 'baby'.

Nothing like having your high $$ machine 'TU' at the shop..

Don't worry Brian, I will keep pulling your bad luck but I am sending you the bill still. And don't worry, my dealer is much better then yours so you won't have any inflated prices;)
