In some States, they are legal with a low speed vehicle plate for use on other than Interstates and controlled access highways.

Biggest impediment is they must be EPA certified or 25 years old.

Yeah, the EPA thing might have got in the way.

In my County the law pays no attention to UTVs if they appear to be farm use. Actually in a nearby town they have an Annual UTV "poker run" event. Last year there were 250 UTVs. The course was 60 miles long on public roadways. Law turned away. Proceeds goes to "Shop with a Cop" program.
