What's the overall width and length of your load? Weight? Start and end zip code, and what's the delivery address situation - commercial, residential, farm etc?

I can talk to my freight broker Monday and see if he has any ideas. He always enjoys my "unique" shipments LOL

I will have to get you more accurate numbers. I am still not certain if I will have them put a 6 ft extension for longer logs or not but most likely will. That will make it about 33 ft after the tongue is removed 36 ft with it attached, (it is removable) and is a little over 12 ft tall at the peak. Width is about 7 feet wheel to wheel. Mill is 7500 lbs the edger would be stacked on top of it so nearly 10,000 lbs. Do not have exact measurements yet so can not forward anything better than above estimates. I have to get good numbers if I want to try uship or the other non towable options. Will try to get better numbers.

I have not yet ordered the mill. I am trying to make certain I can get it back here before I commit. I can get a different brand much closer but this one is far superior and thus I am willing to go way out of the way. Brand X is only 3 hours away.

I would pick it up at the loading dock if shipped. I have found out that the delivery options do not work well for me.

Ok that's bigger than I thought. With the height at 12' it will be difficult to get it on any trailer other than a lowboy. But the frame of the mill is built as a trailer with removable tongue - do I have that right?

Ditto on the heighth being the limiting factor. Not only does that limit your options but your low cost options as well. Weight and length are not an issue. The trick with freight is to max on the weight within size constraints.

Well I finally got the "actual" numbers from the manufacturer.
My height estimate was a bit off as 12 ft was in the operating position not the stowed travel position.
Length is 33 ft with the tongue attached 29 feet unattached.
If I get the 6 ft extension that I want it would be 39 ft and 35 feet respectively.
Width 8 feet at the outside of the band wheel guards which is the widest point.
Height is 9 ft 4 inches in the stowed travel position.
Weight is total of about 9500 lbs with all equipment.

The frame bed is cut to the length that is spec'ed in the order placed.
They have the standard length but if ordered with extra then they cut the rail to the longer length.
One piece, non welded, rail length. Bunks are welded in for support, however.
Minimizes any alignment issues but has a logistical downside.
