Long hair care for busy farmers

I had to have the toenail on my big toe on my right foot surgically removed and the cell matrix destroyed so that it would never grow back due to decades of ingrown nails and deformation.

The surgeon didn't use enough anesthetic and I could feel him pulling the nail off and start scraping the matrix. I told him to stop because I could feel it. Hurt real bad. He laughed at me and said you can't feel that. I told him if he didn't stop I'd punch him. Then he did some "poking" and "fake poking" and determined I was telling the truth. Shot my foot up with more anesthetic and finished the job. I had some words with him afterward in regard to his bedside manner.

I don't know if anyone has ever had to torture someone, but if you ever do, I'd say start with their toenails. Yeowch! 🙃

I think we're similar. Someone could hit me with a baseball bat and no pain, I guess endorphins kick in...but a small needle to finger or toe I hit the ceiling.

I grew a calcium deposit in one of my toes; it basically formed a rock that pushed out through the skin.

It was pretty insane. I had to have it all surgically removed, after trying to remove parts of it, only to find more, and more. I've got some pictures if you're curious.

Post them!

No, Tinker was about freedom of speech in schools (specifically, non-disruptive political speech). Dress codes can and are still enforced, I including some regarding grooming. Individual schools/districts may have loosened their rules, but not because of Tinker.
Yes, freedom of speech. As in Tinker's freedom to wear a black arm band. And essentially anything they wanted. The dress code wasn't, in your word, "loosened", it was nearly eliminated after and because of the Tinker decision.

I must admit I'm not a busy farmer, but I do work my butt off sometimes over the weekends around my place.

Since age 18, #2 on the sides (at least) my whole life. Has worked well for me.

I'm at the point that I have to go in for beard, neck, eyebrow and ear trim before I have to cut the hair on my head LOL

That's how I determine I need another hair cut The wooly bears poking out the ears and the shaggy neck

I buzz my own eyebrows with a set of beard and sideburn trimmers.

I was at a stop light and kept trying to get this hair off my glasses. Finally found it and pulled it. That's when I realized it was still attached

Worst part about it was a car load of girls next to me saw me do it, and my reaction.

That's when I realized I inherited my grandfather's caterpillar eye brows
