When will these companies learn that this is a new era? It's called social networking. Some of the dealers do good and others don't bother to communicate with their own company. Regardless of whether they do or not, us folks who own their machines sure talk to one another. And some of us do it in public like on this forum. No, that isn't aimed at Kubota. It's a general statement aimed at the big global companies everywhere. You'd think their relations and advertising departments would smarten up. Eventually they will.
good luck with it,
rScotty

Good Statement rScotty. The bucket cutting edge broke at 125 hrs. I bought the Machine in Dec. 2011,
So the Hoe is still under warranty. So should the cutting edge. I'm not at all impressed with this Dealer ship. When I went in to buy the M59, the salesman had a number of things already written down on the sales slip that I didn't even ask for over the phone. I had him remove them and told him I wanted the TLB with the 3-pth with the extendable ends, the 3 remotes and a set of remotes for the loader. The salesman told me What I wanted was the M-59 TLB-LB, he said that included all of the remotes. So being the trusting person I am, (yes I'm one of those backwoods Mainers that still trust people) we made the deal for 59,000 out the door.

In about 2-months the machine came in. So I go up to Bangor to get it. It didn't have the extendable links, of course he didn't know anything about that. I showed him the sales slip, yup guess you're right I'll have to order those. Then I asked him why it didn't have the rear remotes, salesman says you didn't order those. I said I did, you told me the M-59 TLB-LB (LB) meaning all remotes. Salesman says oh no the LB just means the remotes on front, I said thats not how you explained it at the time of the sale. Salesman says oh I must have because the rear remotes are another $3,000. option.

So at this time I'm thinking well maybe I misunderstood (NOT) but I'm really excited to get the New machine I told him he wasn't getting paid until the extendable 3-pth was with the machine and I left.
Low and behold the salesman calls me later that day, Oh I found the extendable links, they were right here in a box oops. So I went up the next day and got the machine, now the rest is history and don't recommend that dealership.

The lesson for me (and one learned by many users of this website), is to keep in mind the difference between manufacturers and the dealers that sell their products. Research both.

Another question for you M59'ers. What is the maximum available hydraulic power to the remotes? The specs (on current machines) say 26.7 gpm "Pump Capacity". With the BH removed and operating a 3pt implement, it'd be nice to know how high-flow I can go. Also, would this pressure be available to the front, say to a moderately high flow snow blower?

Hi 4Papa

If you want an M59 with a cab you can't get it from Kubota but check out the Laurin cabs. They are the closest I have seen to a factory cab and somewhere on this site there is a user with a Laurin cab on an M59. He should be able to give you some feedback on the cab. They aren't cheap ($10,000 - $12,000) but I am having one installed on my L45 in a few weeks and I am looking forward to moving snow in comfort this winter!

Good luck with your shopping.

Lauren

I've seen a few machines with a cab. Must have been Laurins. Have to say, not the most elegant or aesthetically pleasing design. Then again, with sleet and blowing snow in the middle of winter, design elegance is probably not high on the list. What does one do about heat? Is that part of the cab (and 12K)?

Ive been told not to expect more than 15 GPM at the 3rd function. It will run a snow blower but NOT a high flow one. Estimates put the best-case hydraulic power at no more than 30HP.

the 26.7 is all pumps combined, 3 pt, backhoe, power steering etc... there is no 'single port' on the machine that you can get 26 GPM out of.

Hi 4Papa

Are you sure it is the Laurin cab you have been looking at? There are much less expensive cab alternatives out there but aesthetically they are not nearly as nice as a Laurin. Check out some posts by BandDCabinet - he has an M59 with the Laurin cab. One of his posts is titled "M59 TLB - Laurin cab".

I paid $12,000 for the Laurin cab on my L45 which is the top of the line Eclipse version with heat and the optional rear backhoe enclosure. I was quoted an additional $3,500 for A/C but based on the recommendation of a fellow TBN'er I am going to have the A/C installed next year by a different firm.

No, I'm not certain it was a Laurin cab that I saw. I'll check out the recommended posts. Thanks.

I did check out the Laurin website. They definitely were not Laurin cabs I've been seeing on other machines. Very elegant and very spendy.

Wow! That much loss? I can maybe see losing almost 12 GPM from total capacity with the BH attached (and operating). But without the BH? Where's it going? Looking at the L5740 with the same 59HP and (perhaps) the exact same engine, the power steering siphons less than 5 GPM from the total. If the loader is off, as would be the case when operating a hydraulic powered snowblower, where's the other 7 GPM going leaving just 15 GPM?
