What is the oldest object you own that is still in daily use? Mine is the Old Spice shaving mug from 1970.

Me.

Other than this old bag of bones, I have a number of items (furniture, etc.) from the 60s and 70s still in regular use, though I wouldn't say daily.

I’ve been carrying the same Swiss Army knife for about the last 30 years. Use it almost daily for something- usually multiple times.

My Kenmore two slice toaster. We got it as a wedding gift in 1965.

I've got a 1957 Coke machine that I get a beer out of every day. Haven't had the Coke machine since 1957 though.

We have a microwave oven that we bought new about 36 years ago. Still use it every day.

LOL, like many of us, older is better.

With tools, many older QUALITY tools simply have not been bettered, just cheapened to attract more buyers.
Designing quality is counterproductive as factories need volume to survive.

We still use the microwave that my mom and dad (both long deceased) bought in approximately 1975 (45 years old).
My wife wants to get rid of it, because it does not have a turntable.
Why?
It still works just fine!

Engineered obsolescence - the current concept of product design.

That's funny. We have a hand mixer we got as a wedding gift that I wouldn't trade for a new one. I use it mainly for mashed potatoes. I think we got married in '84.

We've got a Gold Star microwave that we got as a wedding present in 1985 that we still use daily. It has a timer knob, a defrost button, and a cook button, and that's it! The original lightbulb is in it too.

I have and use a 1968 Sears Craftsman circular saw. It is totally all polished metal, including the knobs. It was my Dad's. I don't use it every day, but when I do, it cuts perfectly!

Mrs.tiller's brother bought her a used dining room table for a graduation gift 42 years ago. It's the only one we have ever had.

Haven't used mine for a year or so, but I have a Sears arc welder I bought when I was 18, so that one is 42. Still works fine.
Mines a Mongomery Ward power kraft 230. Purchased in 1975. It's 45 years old. I switched the leads to 1ot wire and replaced the ground clamp and rod holder. Added some length to the leads as well so I can reach anywhere in the garage and about 20ft into the driveway.

You can use carbon rod in it as well, but haven't played with that yet. It's been a year since I used mine as well.

I found some old tractor seats at a junk shop. One of these weekends, I need to fire up the welder and turn the seats into stools
