Looking at a Mitsubishi Mini Split Heat Pump with Hyper Heat

I have electric heat and window air units, I want to add two mini splits, the old heat/ac will remain for redundancy. I am trying to reduce my electric cost.

I am considered a Mid-South Location, Paducah KY, about North Carolina - North Texas climates.

I am looking at this unit and would like ideas about a better unit(s), I need two, I will buy one first. It is pricy in the mini split department, I am OK with that, but am open to lower cost quality solutions. I really like the Hyper-Heat technology in it and I believe only Mitsu has it. I like the high SEER rating and I like the inverter technology in it.

Mitsubishi MZ-FH12NA 12,000 BTU 26.1 SEER Ductless Mini Split System, it is a Low Ambient Operation unit.

If I understand the unit correctly, it provides heat pump heat (Not Heat Strip heat) down to about minus 10 degrees, which is colder than it gets here. (Zero is extreme here, 30F+ is normal)

I understand some heat pumps blow heated air at about 98 degrees which feels cool to some people, anyone know if Hyper-Heat blows warmer or cooler? Thoughts about this type of unit in a smaller home?

I have a Mitsubishi 12K BTU Mini split, it does not have the newer 'Hyper Heat' mode. It heats our smaller home fine until the outside temps drop to about 25dF, then it just doesn't put out enough heat. Air temp output on the unit tends to be about 20dF higher than room temp when in max heat mode. Otherwise it just puts out enough heat to satisfy needs. It could only be putting out air heated only 10dF above room temp if that is all that is needed to satisfy demand. I suspect you will find that when unit goes to Hyper heat mode, it will provide the heat, but it won't be very efficient. If you rarely drop below 30dF, then it shouldn't be an issue. It costs me about $1/day to heat my house in the spring and fall, and about .50/day for AC, not that AC is needed often in Maine. I heat with wood in the winter as my Mini split just can't keep up with single digit temps common here.

I have a Mitisubishi 9K unit for my home office (it is a separate attic conversion). I have had it about 7 years and love it. It does a fantastic job heating and cooling my office.

I do not think it has the Hyper Heat, but when we have had temps in the high teens, it has had no issue keeping the space warm.
