Was just quoted $72k for a 4710. Just looking around as I’m not familiar with the 4700’s. It has cab loader(MF931X SS AC Ldr w/ Fact LL0)… is there more than one option of loaders?
One reason for discount is they’ve had it for over a year, got a couple of 4709 too about a year. Only one experience with tractors that sit on lots for years and that’s a 2008 m59, bought dirt cheap cause it sat for 2 years. Lost both hydro pumps at 75 hr. I assume water/rust from condensation where they never moved it. Bottom of rims sun faded pink from sitting. This particular tractor has been moved around and even ran through the tractor parade the town has. Still concerned about lot rot. Need to stop by and get hours on it, very important.

12 speed, 3 remotes..basic stuff. I gather the 12 speed is the basic tranny for these. Any opinions by those familiar with it? My current tractor is a 4345 and I assume the 4710 can do everything it does. Here’s a screenshot of quote with it’s description.

Amazing how expensive things have gotten.
Only new tractor I ever bought was a Kubota M-126X
126HP, Cab, 4WD with a nice loader & bucket
In 2011 it was $81,000. I thought that was crazy expensive.

Yes, my 2003 Massey I bought new in 2003 was like $45k. Trade in quote now for it is $30k. I guess it’s relative. Only 1600hr so that helps.

I now generally buy well-worn used tractors because I now need much larger stuff.

My 300HP Magnum with 5K hours was $41,000. :ROFLMAO:

I know YOU know this, but you could get a 150HP tractor with 4WD and a loader with 4,000 hours for that price.

There’s a price “penalty” for small iron.

Until it breaks.

A 556 baler and 4715 mower would look silly behind a 150hp tractor…lol
Definitely don’t want that high of hours on newer equipment. Dang computer goes out and it’s $3-6k

I buy slightly used cars and tractors. Let somebody else take that initial hit.

I don’t, I buy highly discounted new. And that time is starting now. Next year will be good year for buying.

You’d be surprised. A lot of guys round bale with a 150 HP tractor around here.

Well, you probably know this, but the bigger tractors go 10,000 hours easily with reasonable care.
Smaller stuff usually hurtin by 5,000 hours.

Yep. I buy well worn. Not much depreciation left lol
I bought one new tractor. Never again.
Only thing I will buy new is my primary driver truck or maybe a tractor attachment.

In my 35 years experience, it aint the tractor, it’s the attachments.
