Well, tire chains and weights for the rear might be a good idea (unless you already have AG tires on the rears..). About the tiller, sure it'll work in our fine rocky thin soil. However, you'll find yourself getting off the tractor a lot to move aside the rocks you unearth (at least that's what I've found)....
