Tractor
branson 3820
I am located in Georgia about an hour away from Rome where they assemble the tractors. I have a local dealer here who will sell me a
3820 with a FEL for 16200 out the door for cash. I was wondering if
this about in line with what other people are seeing and if this is a good tractor. I want to do some brush hogging on my 17 acres and
maintain a 500 foot gravel driveway. I am also getting ready to build a house and think it will come in handy from what i have seen other people use their's for.
thanks

I don't know anything about Branson prices, but I did notice today that the local dealer has huge signs out front that say zero down, zero percent financing.

Hey, that sounds like a great price. I just bought a 3820 in Febuary and paid
around $18,000. for Tractor and FEL. Backhoe was $5700. additional
and bought the canopy to assist in keeping my bald head from getting scorched. I'm located in Southern Colorado so I'm sure there's big difference in freight.
I looked at other tractors and don't know too much about them, but I will say even with only 25 hrs on it, I am extremely pleased how it operates, handles and runs like a dream. My only nit is how it starts, it seems to need the glow plugs at least 2 times when its cold.
The attachments are cake. I can remove the front bucket and attach the pallet fork in less than 2 minutes. The backhoe can be removed and the 3 point on in about 15 minutes. I have to say SIMPLE and well designed.

I don't know if this statement holds true with tractors, so this may be completely wrong and someone may correct me, but with cars and trucks, the freight charge is the same if you live next door to the plant in Detroit as it would be in San Diego, CA. If you like the tractor, have several good dealers from which to choose, and the money is a savings over other tractors, I'd say go for it. Just don't assume that you are getting a "deal" until you've done your homework and actually know that you are getting a deal. Every dealer in this country will tell you that you are getting a great deal if you ask them. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Good luck!!

Steve, that is an absolutely beautiful backdrop to your tractor picture!!! Is that real, or is it one of those giant backdrop pictures on a canvas? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Can I come visit?! Can I, huh? I'll clean your tractor if I can just sit outside and take in your view!! Totally awesome!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

dogranch, I believe thats a good price. I got a price on a 3820 with BL20A loader and R-4 tires of $16295.00. This price was back in Feb. for a 2005 model without the independent PTO and included an $800.00 discount for cash and no tax on the sale. This dealer was located Indiana. By the way the 3820i was $500.00 more. Hope this helps, for 16200 I dont think you can go wrong, and you sure wont be making a mistake by buying a Branson. Hal.

That sounds like a fair deal, you will not be disapointed, I love my 4720!

Drago,
I take it that you are just being sarcastic. All the burned trees you see in the background are the results of a wildfire that wiped us out in January. (See post below "Putting a Branson to the test") I pretty much lost all of my 40 acres, and my Dad lost 200 and his house and cars.
If you really want to come and enjoy the view, bring your chainsaw and stay as long as you want. Front end loaders are welcome as well. Here's another great view....canvas back drop.

I was quoted $16,200 cash for a 3510i, so I think you're definitely getting a deal.

Well I got the 3820 and I am pretty happy with it so far. I think it will do what I want for a long time. All told I got the tractor with FEL, 5'box, and 5' cutter for 17125. I think that is a fair price from what I've heard. I already have an oil leak near the oil filter though and that has me a little concerned. I am in ohio for military duty for now but I will get that checked out when I get back to Georgia. Anyone else have any leaks that started this soon? I assume warranty will take care of it but I hope this isnt a sign of things to come.
