I can't speak to having a large tractor, but we bought the Mahindra Max 24. I shopped and looked at every brand from every dealer under the sun in my area. We needed a SCUT for our 2 property's. Roughly 6 acres to be kept up, snow removal, mowing, grading, moving manure from the horse rings, and whatever landscaping needs we have for starters. All the offerings for SCUT's were really great machines and was difficult to decide. What did for us was how stout that little tractor is, just my opinion. I like the fact it has a 5 year power train warranty. The guys on the Mahindra forums are some good people and swear by both the Mitsubishi, and Daedong engines Mahindra uses. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and it gets around just fine and is up to anything I put it up to so far. We enjoy our Mahindra, and a lot of others here like them too. Good Luck. Hope your daughter feels better soon.

My daughter and son-in-law have a 40 acre horse farm and have been getting by (barely) with a BX2670 (I think) with a very small loader. I have often brought my B2620 including the BH65 backhoe to her place to help.

Moving gravel, feed, manure and brush hogging is a pain (literally) with this small tractor. My daughter is currently in extreme back pain from a recent binge of moving 2 gravel trains of gravel. My sil has been looking at Mahindras at a nearby New Holland dealer. He is considering the 1538 Cab model.

I have no experience or knowledge of Mahindras. Any opinions? There is also a Kioti dealer - Michigan Iron - fairly near but further away. I'm thinking he may want to look there as well.

Also, once she gets her back healed up, what seat should she look for in those two manufacturers, or other brands that have good seats.

I've considering just letting them keep my B2620 at their place and use it as much as they want because I don't really need it here because my other son-in-law and step daughter live here in our duplex and he has a Zero turn mower and LS 46 HP Cab tractor.

But I'm not sure my B model is really what they need.

Thoughts?
I cannot comment on the mahindra tractors. I bought my Kioti tractor & implements from Michigan Iron and equipment and my friends have also purchased a few tractors from them also.IMHO the sales, service and parts are second to none.I have been a customer of MIE since 2008 I have always been treated very well.

I have owned 3510 for 15 years and the only issue I have ever had was the fuel filter leaked and I just put a inline filter in and use clean fuel. Put a backhoe on it couple of years ago and have used it for everything possible. Not too much it would not do as far as mowing, loader and pulling a small dirtpan.
I found a used 5500 4WD at the local dealer (trade in for a 85HP) and was able to get it for around 12K with a set of forks and small grapple.
I highly recommend Mahindra IF there is a good dealer near for parts and warranty maintenance (50 hr service)
Tough machines that are well built for a Utility Tractor.

.... But I thought they still needed a machine that was the same size as the 3016 and just recently they reintroduced the 3016 as the 1526 but with a Mahindra tier 4 engine. Pretty much identical except for the engine swap out....

Actually the 1526 has the same Mitsu engine as the 3016, No difference, except rated at lower rpm to get the HP down under 19KW so they did not have to do the mCRD and DOC. Essentially if you are < or = to 19KW, tier IV is not much more than a sticker. So if you liked the 3016, you would like the 1526...same thing. Except, they did lower the specs a little on the loader and backhoe, I think to differentiate the 1526 from the 1533, The 1526 is a very well balanced package, and the Mitsu S3L2 is a super good engine and has been used in a ton of different Mahindra models over the last 10-12 years.

Even better ! I thought I read that it had the new Mahindra engine, but you ought to know !

One thing I didn't like on the new 1526 is the new position of the loader controls. I don't like reaching. I know the 2 (3) reasons they did it though:

1) easier pass thru for the drive to dismount that side
2) removes the hoses from under the right step area. Less issues with snagging and chafing on the bh frame
(3) sorter hose mean less cost to the mfgr.

Mahindra must have listened when people felt there was too big a gap in size between the Max28 and the 1533. As many people on this forum know, the 3016 is a stellar machine and it was a best seller for Mahindra. Some people were searching all over the east coast to get them when they were dropped a year or so ago.

I'm glad they're back.

New poster, North Miss, looking at Mahindra 4035 with front loader, low hours, looks very clean and fair price. Any comments out there on this model? Any watch outs I should be aware of.

There is a short list of things to look at and/or fix on that model. Mostly fuel hoses (they had a rather large bad batch of hoses that would leak), some hose routing, etc. Also, the tilt wheel release mechanism can be bent pretty easily, but also can generally be bent back to work. So a couple hours of tinkering and you would have the potential problems solved and should be good to go. It is a nice heavy tractor, comfortable to operate and with good lift specs.
