Look elseware for the bb72x, I just finalized the purchase of one today and I can tell you I paid a heck of alot less than what you were quoted and that's with the slip clutch. Actually the highest I saw it local was $1800, the price you got quoted was actually higher than dealer list. Dealer list I found online was $2231.00
I'd go online to woods and search for another local dealer. The woods outweights the brush hog but they both are good units. You might want to check the woods heritage unit which can be had for less than 1300 with the slip clutch. It weights around 640lbs.
