Hi all.

looking for some ideas for a new dump trailer. I’ve got a good amount of dirt/wood chips to move on my property and I think this would be faster than going one bucket at a time with the loader. Given the distance I need to move (150 yd). Going to build a backstop this fall!

Ideally I would like something thats at least 48”+ long (width of my bucket), metal of course, that can dump completely and easily. Just had my 3rd hernia repaired and trying to keep from getting another!

I’d like to get 3 buckets into it, so capacity would need to be 1200-1500 lbs.

I have a 17cu ft Brinly plastic one now that I use mostly for limbs and yard waste. It sucks for dirt or anything heavy because the angled back holds the dirt and requires too much effort to empty. The dirt just sits on the angled back.

I had one of those Home cheapo metal carts that you have to assemble. It was junk.

Any recommendations that won’t break the bank?

They make a 3ph mounted dumpable box with a cutting lip used to back into what you want to move and scoop it up. Seems like they also have a removable tailgate, for transport. Various sizes and their capacities looked larger than a FEL bucket. Kinda like a high capacity slip scoop with a tailgate.

One of these on back, plus a FEL bucket full might be a somewhat balanced load.

Forget what that rear attachment is called. TBN member PTSG had a thread on them that are available in Europe.

Thanks.

I've seen them before. I’d also be using my backhoe at the time, so that wouldn’t work.

What about a hay wagon that you could push the dirt off or convert to a dump type. This would be stable for loading and transport. JM2C

I think it would be faster to just drive every scoop 150 yards than trying to unhook it every load to only hold 3 scoops.
