Looking for a sub compact for my mother

/ Looking for a sub compact for my mother #21
I've bought 5 Cub Cadets over the past 11 years. All are still running great. Some are riding mowers, one a ZTR and some are GTs. I have had no bad experiences with the CUBs. I looked at the 8000 series recently, they were nice, but didn't have all the features I wanted (HST being a biggie). I really like the 5000 series but I think the 7000 series machines are very nice, probably the nicest of all the Cubs. (7000 series are made by Mitsubishi for Cub and are nice medium size tractors with lots of features at reasonable prices).

Good thing you weren't on a forum in the 70's when Kubota first came here, or they may not have been able to "prove themselves" and get to where they are now. Kioti has been here since 1985 with a very good track record and better prices.

It's becoming obvious that you're simply a Kubota fan, and will post whatever derogatory remark about another brand that comes to your mind. If you haven't read good things about Cub Cadet on TBN, you haven't read enough. John

KubOta,

I think you need to understand something here. When someone buys a product they feel they have made the right decision based on the dealers, location, why they need the tractor and finances. When you bad mouth other products you actually hit them in the wrong places. Both Kioti and Cub which you slandered are both good products. I have a New Holland and if you came in here and told me New Holland was no good I guess I would hurt some or even better yet if some bad mouth Kubota you would get upset. You won't make friends here if everything is bad except for the product you bought. Dad always taught me one thing, "If you can't say something good, don't say it"

I am not saying any of this to push you off TBN as I am sure you can be of an asset here for many people. Just watch what you say.

Exactly! Not to mention, I just threw out the idea of the 5000 series because the original poster said that his mother preferred the Cub over other brands.

When I read Kub0ta’s post I just assumed he was trying to “get someone’s goat”. Looks like he succeeded /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
