Well, they all should have position control, just like the Kioti's. It's too bad that Kubota just assumes that it doesn't matter to folks, but I guess they have the sales figures to give them that confidence.

They probably save $50 on each tractor by substituting the quarter inching valve for the position control. It is odd that the value company, Kioti, has position control on every tractor while the state of the art Kubota's only have it on their deluxe versions and larger machines.

On mine with the 1/4 inch valve, there is a notch on the side closer to your leg. If you pull the lever to the notch, the implement raises slowly. If you move the lever over slightly and pull it all the way back, the implement comes up quick. I find it works ok for me with the box blade or rear blade because I am more likely to be tweaking on them as I go anyway and it is not like I am dragging them all over the property. I just don't like it with the mower on the back because it will not hold the constant height. So I find I have to bump it up on every couple of laps around the maybe 3 acre field. It isn't a huge deal, but if you are driving along not thinking about it, you look back and the front of the mower is on the ground.

Im not doing a good job of asking and tell what I was going to do I don't care about the finished look. My wife want to be able to have our small dogs to go around large section of our land with out a collar. I didn't want to spend all day on a tractor with a finished mower. I used to spend hours with my dads Garden tractor cutting our 3.5 acker lawn. She doesn't think it needs to be finished cut, but cut down enough for our small dogs to walk/run around with her keeping an eye on them.

You don't need a tractor with a Bush Hog, you need to trade the small dogs in for a bigger model.
