A thousand rounds in 2 hours? One round in 7.2 seconds, your better at it than me. What kind of chucker do you have?

Good grief, I meant a couple hours seating primers but I forgot to put it all in..... A couple days.

My favorite primer time is sitting with the wife while she's watching Holmes on Homes or Design on a dime, we commune (she thinks) but I'm a million miles away, seating primers......:laughing:

I have a Rock Chucker, a Dillon and a MEC.

Widners for brass and bullets and Natchez for powder, I prefer Hogdon. Sometimes Scharch for brass, I shop the best price on once fired mil brass in .223. Widner is the Hornady US Distributor so they specialize in bulk sales.

Believe it or not, Cabelas has the best price on Lapua brass.... I was stunned. Not on Lapua projectiles however.

I kinda figured you lost track of time. I have a couple coffee cans of used brass waiting for me sometime this winter if I can get interested again. It is just too easy to buy new.

That isn't out of reason with a good case fed progressive at all! .223 is only slightly more time consuming than a pistol round only because you are waiting for the powder to fully drop.

I have 2 Dillons a 550 and a 650 and the 650 will easily do 450-500 pistol rounds an hour (and I take my time) and with the GSI bullet feeder I am getting at Christmas it should do 700+ per hour conservatively. fwtw :thumbsup:

I spend more time than that just with the tumbler cleaning the brass.

I do the same.. get dressed int he morning, put my money and wallet and change in my pocket.. put my gun in my pocket and go. i only remove it if going into a prohibited area, or when I get home / at night when undressing. Habit.. and it means without thinking about it, I will almost always have a piece on me, when needed... accept for those very very very rare times someone might try to mug me in a court house or police station..

My personal best reloading feat was 3000 rounds of .40 in a bit under 4 hours on my Dillon 650 with case feeder and a buddy helping. The brass was already clean. I ran the loader and my buddy kept the primer and powder full, the loaded ammo boxed and so forth. The ammo was for him and we had a "get r done" attitude as we both had beer and cigars on our minds.

Its legal here anyway to move the pistol from your person to a safe place in your vehicle on prohibited area parking lots etc. Its just a good idea to not get caught doing it.

Someone may freak and get you more attention than you want not that you would be illegally handling it just you could be detained and asked a lot of questions. Best to store it before hand if you know you are going there. hth

Nothing wrong with that at all!

I get in the "Boys room" as my wife calls it and I may just sit there and listen to the Who or Jethro Tull on the CD or open the safe and look at some old rifle or I may just piddle for a couple hours load a few piddle some more. I may not get anything done in a couple hours not uncommon at all! :laughing: :thumbsup:
