Yes definitely appreciate you taking the time out of your schedule to help me out.

It does look like an outdoor stored machine. Anybody have any opinions? I don't expect it to be perfect given the budget, but aside from the hydraulic leak and a lousy sales team there doesn't appear to be anything grossly amiss. I have been wanting to test out that harbor freight body dent kit, and that hood might be the perfect chance...

That hydraulic leak, how bad did it seem? It looked in the picture that it may have been dripping down through the sleeve, so maybe a line is loose or not sealing right?

Were you able to run the pto?

As far as the video, youtube would work for me.

Couldn't tell how bad the leak was. I could just see oil on that line. No I did not run the PTO. Several $100,000 tractors right next to it and nobody came out so I wasn't about to run it around. The dang seat was so low for this big boy that it felt like my butt was dragging the ground. Didn't know what levers did what so I wasn't about to get into something that I could not get out of. It's like I said.. I would not buy dirt from them people because any kind of a reputable company would have had someone out there if they saw me looking around for more than 10 minutes. When I was in the market for a new tractor I went there and looked for probably an hour or more and there was no one came out then either. That place is 25 miles from my home but I still traveled 250 miles to buy a Massey Ferguson. I called them up and talked to the sales manager and he sent me all kinds of pictures and literature by email. That is the way a sales person should be. You can't upload a video to u-tube without an account and that video was way too big. 61 MB, just for a minute of hearing the motor. I don't know why we can't send a sound file or short video here? I suppose because they would really suck up the space on a server.

Yeah, they may not feel that it is worth their time.
So far they were reasonably prompt with the responses to my inquiries. The last time I emailed them about 3 weeks ago, they said they were firm on the price, but I may hit them up again and see if they changed their mind, and want to get rid of it.
Of course they didn't mention the hydraulic leak, but neither did the owner of the last tractor I bought. Still it is the cheapest one by far that I have found, even if it needs some work.
At least from what you mentioned you tested, nothing seemed unworkable. How did the engine sound?

Fastenal said they didn't want to deal with an item that size, so it looks like it is back to Uship, which isn't bad.

George you are the man. Glad to see you help him out!

For file transfers, I use Dropbox, a real handy and free site. I also use it for cloud storage of all of my pics - so I can access them from any device. I also have a dozen shared files with different people. Drop in a file and both (or as many people as you want) can have access. Or create a link and email the link and the other party can retrieve.

I can probably set that up. Radrock, if you want to send me your email address in a PM I will share a folder

Thanks for the video,
Was that rust in the engine box, or MO dirt? :)

There was rust on the exhaust but dirt on the valve cover. A little of both

Thanks Dean, and everybody else. It wasn't much and I don't know that it was much help. I couldn't bring myself to buy anything without checking it out first hand. I could not tell you if that was worth the money or not. But to some people it might be worth it. I think my wife uses Dropbox for her work. It works pretty good. I just haven't ever really had a need for something like that. I think I have a u-tube account too but don't remember the username or password. I suppose they just delete the account after very little activity???
