Mowing Looking for x595 engine or rebuild

am looking for X595 or 748 3TNE74 engine. My unit has destroyed the block

Any ideas very welcome please..

Sorry to hear you are looking for a new engine.

Would like to hear any details of what destroyed the one you had. I've grown to think of them as pretty rock solid, and don't hear of failures.

That would be the Yanmar diesel, right?

Is it repairable if you just get a short block? Or are you looking for a complete engine replacement?

Have not removed engine as yet, but block has bulge in it where conrod has hit it..Can rebuild myself if can get parts or short block is probably better idea. Wondering what is available and what cost..

Yes, it is Yanmar and just bought mower to rebuild, so don't know how good the service on the motor was..rest of machine looks very good.. just hope gearbox is ok.
