Looking to buy a Yanmar

 / Looking to buy a Yanmar #31
gizmo, relax. I did NOT say you were stupid, I said that the whole situation is stupid. It's stupid that your friend got ripped off for buying a bogus product. It's all sad.

And, just so you know, I'm not trying to back anyone up here in this forum. I posted my own opinion, and from my own perspective/experience. I have sometimes had others here disagree with my viewpoint, not a big deal, I appreciate the perspective.

What I wrote to you is from my own personal experience with a re-con unit. You can take my advice or not, i'm trying to tell you, that after nearly two yrs of ownership of a re-con unit, i find them not to be a good deal.

And, sorry if you took offense, none intended. I think if you ask others, or read my posts, i don't make a point of trying to insult or cause arguments. So, like i said, relax, just trying to offer you my opininon, and if you don't want it, fine, no problem...

you can pm me if you want any other input from me, i'll stay quiet here now, have a nice evening. -arthr

To me, If you alter or change out an hour meter on any make or model...well it's as deceiving as changing the expiration date on medication, canned foods or a gallon of milk. )

Mark,

Heard you post your thoughts on this a while ago, recalled you saying something about hour meters in planes staying with the chassis to judge stress. Was wondering how that would relate to the recons....

Would you want the hour meter....

From Tractor A that gave the engine?

From Tractor B that gave the Tranny?

From Tractor C that gave the frame?

or from Tractor D that gave the front diffy, alternator, radiator and the tires /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I understand your point with dealers trying to pass these off as like new. Atleast I knew when I bought my recon that they ran it for 4 hours before they handed it off... And now I know that my seat and paint have 100 hours on them. Funny thing, I could not find in the manual when they are suppose to be replaced! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here is your post from a couple weeks ago.

( I just went to a ford dealer to look at a Yanmar 2210 . He has a lot of yanmar's , He tried to sale me a new 2005 2210 never been use, I ask him three time what year it was and he said 2005. I just turn and walk off I did not need that one. )

Now when people are essentially agreeing with you, you are getting angry. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Why end it? I find this thread very interesting and, judging from its longevity, I'm evidently not alone.

piddling you got that shot right.I come on here a lot just to read the post on here . And that is the best post I have ever read on here. When gizmo posted about comparing them. Ever one wanted to run rabbits to the left ,Some wanted to run Rabbits to the right. No one want to run the Rabbits that was up.I don't have a VN Rebuild, And don't want one.But if I did I would have turn a Beagle or two lose on that Rabbit and ran him to death.Tell then Hoye I'm to mad LOL

Im sure you know the old saying about burning your bridges?
Sooner or later you will need advise or parts for your yanmar or whatever machine you own. And it doesnt look like you are mending any fences.
Try to keep it peaceful please, you make more friends that way.
Im sure that we all have something else in common that we are experts at that others would like to hear about.
hunting, fishing, motorbiking, traveling ect
Thank you Ernie /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

HTP, I see the tractors going to Vietnam each month. They are the worst of the worst in the export yards. They want cheep, if they run it’s a bonus but mostly they are tractors only in form. The pictures are the norm, but not at all the worst that they take. The Vietnam buyer laughed when I asked about the burned tractor, he said “of course we will make it run”….. “USA love anything if you make it pretty”…… Exact quote.
