- Getting old. Sold the ranch. Sold the tractors. Moved back to the city.
Hi All,
new to the forum. Starting a farm next year and looking to buy a tractor. Primarily concerned with tractor width and PTO hp. Will be used mainly for pulling 74' land pride tiller, so hoping to find something equal to or less than that width. Unsure what kind of hp you need to get the job done. 40?
Primarily focused on Kubota L4400, but pricing may be an issue. Looking to spend no more than $19000.
Anyone out there know of anything comparable or have any advice for a first time buying? Is it possible to find this within my price range?
Thanks
My neighbor has a Kubota L4630--a real nice tractor, but over $20K.
My 2008 Mahindra 5525 (55 hp engine, 45 hp pto, 2WD, 8F/2R tranny partially synchronized gears, triple rear hydraulic remotes) with the ML250 FEL (6-ft wide bucket, 2950 lb lift to 10.5 ft height, skid steer quick attach on the FEL). Tractor with FEL weighs about 6200 lb. Bought it new for about $19K.
Good luck.
