The 2555 has an overachieving loader. It really lifts, but you need a bunch of ballast to use all of that capability. So load the rear tires and hang an implement on the rear.

Prices quoted seem very competitive.

The loader is indeed very strong. I am fixing to do hay and am excited to see how it loads 5x5 rolls. I have my rears loaded and I keep an implement on the back, especially if I'm going to be lifting anything of significant weight.

Thanks for all the info!! I am getting closer to a choice. I am starting to think that i might lean more towards the 3540 as i dont need a lot of HP, just lifting capacity. I was quoted 31K for a 3540, with loader, 6' box, 6' cutter and a set of pallet forks. Seems like a reasonable deal, but obviously id love to make it 30K even.
