Yes you are supposed to pay sales tax on any inet purchase. Buying a tractor from a dealer in your state you can be tax exempt if it is for farm use, they really dont check this, although i have 130 acres so i qualify. There is no way that the irs can check or prove what you purchased, now! the only way would be to have records of all your internet activity and access to all business databases and hire thousands more irs agents to police it. But with recent changes in our country and political ideas and recent legislation to pass i dont think its should be totally off your mind, there are things happening that i never thought would happen. Not trying to get the political debate going on a tractor sight though.
My brothers father in law claims all those inet purchases as well as catalouge orders, but then again he is a tax attorney, that would not look to good to be cheating on your taxes as a tax attorney:confused2:.
