Looking to buy small Yanmar Tractor in Georgia

Yes you are supposed to pay sales tax on any inet purchase. Buying a tractor from a dealer in your state you can be tax exempt if it is for farm use, they really dont check this, although i have 130 acres so i qualify. There is no way that the irs can check or prove what you purchased, now! the only way would be to have records of all your internet activity and access to all business databases and hire thousands more irs agents to police it. But with recent changes in our country and political ideas and recent legislation to pass i dont think its should be totally off your mind, there are things happening that i never thought would happen. Not trying to get the political debate going on a tractor sight though.

My brothers father in law claims all those inet purchases as well as catalouge orders, but then again he is a tax attorney, that would not look to good to be cheating on your taxes as a tax attorney:confused2:.

Thanks again for all the replies! I'll most likely end up with a 1610D.

In my search I found a source for implements about three or four miles down the road. He's a really good guy and has very reasonable prices. He used to work for the local tractor place that went out of business a year or so back. Some of my friends say he is a really good Yanmar mechanic.

Having a good mechanic that close is like finding gold. Talk with him and ask his capabilities, then you can buy whatever you want even if it needs repairs...I like saving money when I can.

Look this guy up...> gaautoparts.com Name (Ron)
he will give you a good deal or put you in the direction of where one might be,
I bought my first tractor from him 12 years ago kept it up until last year, trouble free...

Yep Ron is a stand up guy :D only sells the good ones:D
Happy camper - all the support I've needed on my 3110D ( Not much!)
Ron can get what you need - if you're local and he'll service it - just like some of top tier here:thumbsup:

Fredricks over in Alabama is a very good dealer to buy a Yanmar tractor. By the time you research, call, e-mail, text, my personal opinion is you would be saving time by getting from Fredricks. I bought my yanmar from a guy who sold them out of his front yard, told him about what I wanted, we drove over there, still have the same tractor for the last 12 years. Good luck, I hope this helps.

Spalding Tractor in Hampton,Griffen Ga. is Fredrick's supplied. He also sells parts.

Fredrick's Equipment, we believe, is the only US importer and US Refurbisher of Yanmar Tractors built for use in Japan and sold here in the US with the US safety equipment installed. These tractors are also covered by a One Year Warranty.

There are 2 dealers for Fredrick's here in Georgia. Spalding Tractor in Hampton, just South of Atlanta, and us, Georgia Tractor Company in Cumming, just North of Atlanta. Both of us carry a good stock of refurbished Yanmar tractors which are sold with the 1 Year Warranty backed by Fredrick's.

Just putting that info out there.

On a side note we (GTC) find it odd that tractorbynet would feature a Bobcat Tractor today as that enterprise is over. No more Bobcat Tractors. They have stopped the program completely.
