i would like to thank everyone that has posted a reply. i'm trying to read everything posted on the forums.[this is going to take awhile} i never said but im just outside of mountianview mo. great rock farm at present.iwill be chipping and mulching everything i cut down or up.minus fire wood [lots of fire wood]:laughing::thumbsup:

O.K let me start with a more complete dicription of what im up against. the pasture is fairly clear except for weeds(handle those later) the forest is five years of over grown brush and trees. every size known to man. plenty of spots that will need to be filled with dirt and rocks due to erosion making hay get from field to barn. every thing that it would take to turn a small forest into a fram. im retired and plan to be here in Gods country till the end so im lookingfor a tractor that will out last me (im 63) needs to handle a tractor freak

Tractors and retirement can be a lot of fun and you probably need one. But because of a word in the above post, please step back and take a second look before you remove the trees.

That word is "erosion" and it may have happened because of abuse by humans and in the past 5 years nature has been trying to repair the damage. If at all possible work around or with the trees. Trees are doing their best to make the Mississippi run clear once more and from what I've seen in my lifetime they need a little help.

I'm not some green freak but I do like to see clear running water.
