Rent a jeep or go on the guided jeep tour with one of the outfitters in the area. The mountains and desert outside of town are amazing, especially if you are used to a more "green" environment.

The dam is impressive as heck, as are some of the back roads. If you can get tix, the Cirque du Soleil had a fantastic show there. As for the city...I cheered at the end of Stephen King's "The Stand." Couldn't think of a better use of a nuke at the time! Of course, that was before 9/11...

Well, my flight is in an hour. I did take the advice offered and had the company upgrade me to a fountain view room. It was strange the way the concierge asked if there was anything else that I would require! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif He didn't think it was funny when I said that I'd just like to make sure that the ice maker wasn't stationed right outside my room. (noise) For some reason, I don't think that is exactly what he meant...
